“In Japan we have the phrase Sho-Shin, which means “beginner’s mind”. […] In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities; in the expert’s mind there are few. […]This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.“(Shunryu Suzuki)

SHO SHIN TRIO ( IT/BE )

Riccardo Marogna: tenor saxophone, clarinets

Seppe Gebruers: prepared pianos

Riccardo La Foresta: drums

Sho Shin Trio is the result of a high-temperature melting process between Italian project Sho Shin Duo and Belgian pianist Seppe Gebruers. The fortunate clash originated in a particular Time-Space concurrency on May 9th 2017 at 7.30pm CET in Antwerpen, Belgium. After that first encounter, exactly two years later the trio met again for a short tour during which the fusion reached the point of no return, becoming inevitable. After this successful first tour – in which the band had its debut on stages such as De Studio (Antwerp), Hot Club Ghent, and PlusEtage (NL), Loft (Cologne).
